I am active in the Twin Cities community and work with many organizations.  In addition to being active through the community relations efforts of both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx, I have served on the following boards:

Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce

I currently serve on the board of the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce. The mission of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce is to create powerful partnerships to unite and grow member businesses and the region. Since 1881, The Minneapolis Regional Chamber continues to open doors to the region's business community, offering business leaders and their employees access to many benefits, from information to networking to business opportunities.

2020 Partners

I am on the steering committee of 2020 Partners. 2020 Partners is a forum to facilitate the continuing transformation of a vital and unique place. Its goal is to lay the foundation and attract investment for future development by knitting together communities and leveraging the assets of Target Field, Target Center, Minneapolis Farmer's Market, transit and energy.

Serving Our Troops

I am an active supporter and participant in Serving Our Troops. In February 2013 I traveled to Norway with the Minnesota National Guard to celebrate to 40th anniversary of NOREX -the longest-running troop exchange between two nations.  Additionally, in February 2012 I joined the mission to Kuwait to serve 12,000 steaks to Minnesota troops deployed in the Iraq/Kuwait theater.  Since 2004, the Serving Our Troops team has been sending a special message for our soldiers and families in the form of a 12 ounce steak from home. Cooked by our team for soldiers and families at home and overseas, Serving Our troops projects bring families together via live international video for a simple message - dinner with the family.

Home Field Advantage

I have been an active member of Home Field Advantage that has supported efforts to renovate Target Center. Home Field Advantage is a consortium of leaders in Minneapolis who advocate for public sports and entertainment venues in the city's central business district. It was created by the Minneapolis Downtown Council, the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and Meet Minneapolis.

Ronald McDonald House

I served on the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities from 2009 thru 2011.  Ronald McDonald House Charities, creates, finds and supports programs that provide a caring community for families with seriously ill children while increasing children's access to health care services.

Minneapolis/St. Paul provides a number of the world's most advanced medical treatment centers for pediatric critical care. Families travel to the Twin Cities from across Minnesota, the United States, and the world for their children to receive highly specialized care at our area hospitals.

I served on the board of  Athletes Committed to Educating Students (A.C.E.S.) from 2004-2008.  A.C.E.S. is an after-school tutoring/mentoring organization for inner-city fourth through eighth graders. Founded in 1994, A.C.E.S. began with 13 students at Wilder School (Powderhorn Community School) in Minneapolis. A.C.E.S. now serves over 350 students annually at three Twin Cities' program sites in low-income areas.

Catholic Charities

I served on the Community Realtions Committee for Catholic Charities from 2005 to 2007. Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis is one of the Twin Cities' largest private providers of social services, working to strengthen families and reduce poverty in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area. With a diverse range of programs, Catholic Charities helps tens of thousands of people annually, regardless of faith.
